Skytrak was the worlds' first flying coaster, and was built at Granada Studios Tour, Manchester. The park ran into liquidation the same season the ride opened, and it was immediately dismantled and scrapped. The ride was also plagued with problems. One car derailed during tests, and the brakes were too sharp, the first rider was the construction engineer, he suffered a compressed spine and was hospitalised.
