| ... before heading South via Balboa Island for lunch, onto San diego where we visited Sea World. Pre-arranging a backstage tour is advisable, enabling you to meet & feed Dolphins, Moray Eels, Sea Turtles & Sealions... |

| Following Sea World be went up the road to Belmont Park, to ride the Giant Dipper, before heading back north to Anaheim. Knotts Berry Farm turns into Knotts Scary Farm for Halloween, so what better way to spend Oct 31st than at the worlds biggest Halloween event? 1000 actors and 12 haunted mazes terrify the crowds through the fogged-out park at nighttime, with the rides open till 1am. After that It was great to find the hotel within walking distance of Disneyland & its new 2nd park, California Adventure, where we spent the following 2 days, meeting up with some American Coaster Enthusiasts, Bob, Lou, & Terry - and Mickey Mouse!... |

The next day we went east, to Palm Springs, passing Castle Park on the way. The Palm Springs aerial tramway offers magnificent views over the city... |

| From Palm Springs we spent a day driving through the Joshua Tree national park... |

| ... before driving north to Laughlin. We ate at the Golden Nugget buffet & slept at the Flamingo casino... |

| ... before heading further north via Hoover Dam & Lake Mead... |

| ...and onto Las Vegas. Highlights included Tony finally seeing Celine at Caesars Palace, watching nightfall from the Stratosphere Tower, a hot air balloon ride & a drive through Red Rock Canyon.
