The Steeplechase is a single-rail-triple-racing coaster, built by Arrow, and was opened by Red Rum, the Grand National winner. His hoof print is located under a plaque near the station! The ride was inspired by one of the great historical coasters, The Steeplechase at Steeplechase park, Coney Island, New York, in which the coaster was the same, only with 5 lanes instead of 3 here at Blackpool.
