Built by Sir Hirim Maxim the Captive Flying Machine was introduced to the Pleasure Beach in 1904, and it is still powered by the original wheels, cogs, belts and pulleys which can be seen through a glass window from the shop underneath the ride. Click the thumbnailed images to enlarge pics
