Built in 1982 when the park was still under John Broome, the Log Flume did not get a roof on its station until several years ago. 2004 sees yet another roof! This time its a complete revamp of the ride, "The Flume, Unplugged" is now sponsored by Cussons Imperial Leather soap, the logs have been replaced by bathtubs, complete with overhead taps which occaisionally shower passengers! The track has been re-surfaced, and the tunnel features a giant rubber duck! At one time the tunnel featured the fibre glass dinosaurs that were once one af the main attractions at Alton! Plastic dinosaurs would make a theme park look pretty cheap by todays' standards, eh Barney?! Click the thumbnailed images to enlarge...
