The Alton Beast was a Schwarzkopf Jetstar 2 ride. It started work at the towers as the original Black Hole and was moved out of the tent when the larger Jetstar 3 arrived and replaced the original. The Beast was then relocated to the back of the Towers, along with the Mouse. Again, the victim of local complaints, the ride was moved again, this time to where AIR now is in the Forbidden Valley, and called the New Beast. from here it was shipped back to Germany to be refurbished.
